An Invitation to “Go Deep”
An Invitation to “Go Deep”
President Quinn’s Weekly Message

We enjoyed a wonderful MLC last Friday. We are grateful for the inspired leadership provided to CASRM by the members of our MLC. Sister Quinn and I come away energized and inspired each time we meet with these remarkable leaders. Thank you!
During MLC we counseled together ways CASRM could continue to “go deep” in our combined and personal discipleship to Jesus Christ over the next year. The council came up with several inspired ideas. We will share and implement many of these ideas with you over the next year.
One of the ideas the MLC has chosen to do immediately, is to have each missionary in CASRM read the four gospels in the New Testament between now and Easter Sunday – March 31st. Each of the four gospels written by Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John share accounts and teachings from the Savior’s life. Matthew and John were two of the Savior’s original apostles. Most of the experiences and teachings shared in their gospels they witnessed first-hand or the Savior related to them personally. It is believed that Mark was a missionary companion to Peter and Luke a missionary companion to Paul. These two disciples wrote down the stories and instruction that were related to them by their companions – two apostles of the Savior. Each of these gospels presents a different and inspired account of the Savior’s life. We should all be grateful for the view these gospels provide us.
Easter Sunday is 12 weeks away. Please accept this invitation by beginning tomorrow to read the four gospels. Please read each day. If you begin tomorrow, you can easily complete this invitation by Easter Sunday. I would like to discuss what you are learning in interviews over the next three months. I will challenge you to share what you are learning on social media.
Please begin your reading each day in prayer. Pray that you may come to know the Savior more deeply by reading and pondering the events of His life and teachings. As you complete your daily study, offer a prayer of gratitude for the example, teachings, and life of the Savior. I promise that as you do these things, you will come to know and appreciate the Savior more deeply and personally. Your discipleship to the Savior will deepen.
Sister Quinn and I look forward to seeing you this week in zone conferences. We so enjoy being with you. See you soon.
Love,
President Quinn
