Meet the Quinns

June 2023

Hello!

We are disciples of our Savior, Jesus Christ and are delighted to be called as mission leaders of the California, Santa Rosa Mission! We look forward to meeting, working with, and coming to love the missionaries assigned to this mission.

A little bit about us: Mark Quinn was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When he was two years old his family moved to Bountiful Utah where he grew up. Elaine was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah. Her birthday is April 1st/April fools day and because of this she loves to play pranks on her family and friends. A couple of her favorite pranks are surprising her family with gold fish in all the toilets and having jelly beans come out of the ice maker.

Mark and Elaine met as students at Brigham Young University on the 4th floor of the library. Two years later they were married in the Jordon River Temple.

After they graduated from BYU they moved to Michigan for a couple of years and then moved to Naperville, Illinois, a city located 30 miles west of Chicago. This is where they have lived the last 38 years and raised their family.

Mark worked for Deliotte consulting and Elaine kept busy raising their 5 children. Elaine is also an author and speaker. She has written a book entitled, “It’s Time, Living a Full and Joyful life with Depression and Anxiety.”

Mark’s hobbies are fishing, training for iron man competitions, and cheering for BYU sports. Elaine enjoys writing, tennis, crocheting, and watercolor painting.

The fastest way to Mark’s heart is with a Three Musketeer candy bar. The fastest way to Elaine’s heart is with chocolate, especially chocolate covered cinnamon bears.

Together they enjoy traveling, eating out, and bike riding. Most of all they love spoiling their grandchildren. They currently have 17 grandchildren and adore each one! They feel greatly blessed by their family.

Their family motto has always been “Quinns Don’t Quit.” And now has been expanded to say “Quinn’s Don’t Quit the Covenant Path.”

They treasure their testimonies of the Savior and the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are grateful for the joy, peace, and eteranal perspective they experience as they live its teachings.
