First Presidency Easter Message
First Presidency Easter Message
President Quinn’s Weekly Message
California Santa Rosa Mission
March 3rd, 2024
Sister Quinn and I have enjoyed our recent interviews. We look forward to meeting with the remaining three zones this week. It is a delight to see and visit with each of you. Interviews are one of the highlights of each transfer. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us.
I am excited to prepare for and celebrate Easter with you this month. To help us prepare for Easter, I wish to share this year’s First Presidency’s Easter Message:
“This Easter season, we invite you to ponder the Savior’s atoning sacrifice and glorious Resurrection, which bless all of us.
“Through our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, we receive this message of hope: “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). The Savior promises that as we keep His commandments and ordinances, we will have “peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:23).
“We testify that Jesus Christ lives! “He is risen” (Matthew 28:6). Because of Him, we can be guided and strengthened as we bear the burdens we face in mortality. Through our faith in the Savior’s atoning sacrifice, the bonds of sin cannot hold us and the trials that we experience in life will have no lasting power over us. “The sting of death is swallowed up in Christ” (Mosiah 16:8).”
As full-time emissaries of Jesus Christ in CASRM, we have the unique opportunity this Easter Season to teach and testify to the truths shared in the First Presidency’s message. We teach and testify that because of the Savior’s Atonement and Resurrection, each one of God’s children can find the strength and hope to overcome the challenges and difficulties that life presents. The Savior’s Atonement and Resurrection were both infiniteand intimate. There is no more important message you can share.
Each day this month, I invite you to ponder on the privilege that is yours to share the Easter Message that Christ lives – that He arose triumphant on Easter Morning. Reflect that His victory on the cross and escape from the tomb extend redeeming and enabling promises of eternal life to you. Please let this knowledge guide your missionary service and the choices of your life.
Thank you for your faithfulness, goodness, and discipleship. We love you! Sister Quinn and I pray the Lord’s choicest and abundant blessings upon each of you.
Love,
President Quinn
