Celebrating Easter - Join Us!

Years ago, President Gordon B. Hinckley, a prophet, said something that caught my attention. He stated, “There would be no Christmas if there had not been Easter.”  Yes, if Jesus had not atoned for sin, died and been resurrected, we would not have any reason to celebrate His birth.

I love celebrating the Christmas Holiday season and have many traditions to make it special. This quote has made me think of how important it is for me to look at my Easter traditions and take the time to celebrate in a more significant way.

As a Christian church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we would like to celebrate Easter in a way that allows us to rejoice with all of the world. This week, Holy Week, offers an extra special time for everyone to enhance their relationship with Jesus Christ. A Church website states: “We invite you to discover what the Savior’s sacrifice means to you. Learn More about the final moments of Jesus Christ’s life, His death, and His glorious resurrection by going to the website ComeuntoChirst.org.” Click on button here to go to this website.

This coming week our missionaries are passing out cards to invite everyone to come to church on Easter Sunday and join us as we worship and celebrate the Resurrection of our Savior. We invite you to ponder the Savior’s life, His sacrifice, and the resurrection.

Here is a short video from the church’s website, Because of Him!

This past week has been busy as we have been busy saying goodbye to six amazing missionaries as they have completed their time on their missions. We also are excited to say hello to three new missionaries.
