We enjoyed being with you last week in zone conference. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to our conferences. The music, prayers, and training were outstanding. Thank you! Sister Quinn and I hope the training on the temple endowment was helpful as we prepare to attend the house of the Lord this week as a mission.
The focus of Sister Quinn and my training was to help you see the divinity of the Savior throughout the temple endowment. I share again the following quote from Elder Bednar from his April 2020 General Conference address:
“Everything that is learned and all that is done in the temple emphasize the divinity of Jesus Christ and His role in Heavenly Father’s great plan of happiness.”
I love this quote. I wish I had heard it earlier in my life. My understanding of the temple endowment grew after I was taught to look for the Savior in the endowment ceremony. As I have looked for and discovered the divinity of the Savior in the endowment, the depth of my temple worship and discipleship to the Savior has deepened. I hope yours will as well.
During this last year, it has been inspiring to study the New Testament in the Come Follow Me program. I have enjoyed the opportunity to study the life and teachings of the Savior. In the second chapter of the Gospel of Luke, we see three instances where the Savior was found in the temple. Please take a few minutes this week to read Luke 2. I am confident you will be inspired, as I was, to read the three accounts in the Gospel of Luke where the divinity of the Savior was found in the temple.
As you attend the temple this week, Sister Quinn and I extend the same invitation we did last week in zone conferences to look for the divinity of the Savior taught throughout the endowment. As you do so, you will be blessed with the spiritual power promised to those who sincerely worship in the temple.
